Inspirations for 2012

Here we are two weeks in to 2012 and it already seems like new years eve and day are miles behind me. Maybe that’s because I spent New Years Day on Megabus heading back from Philly and plotting my 2012 goals & intentions + recognizing my gratitudes & accomplishments of 2011.  I also started reading the Happiness Project, which inspired me to come home and clear our $750 worth of stuff. How do I know the value of stuff that I gave away? A handy little tool called It’s Deductible.  One of my favorite passages from the Happiness Project so far are the Secrets of Adulthood. Which is your favorite?

Krystle, one of our October 30 day challengers shared this awesome link: 30 challenges for 30 days of growth. I think someone likes 30 day challenges…ahem. Our February challenge is filling and is limited to 25 challengers. Just sayin’!

And speaking of 2012, did you make a resolution? I just found this quote that I love: “Resolutions are nice, but perhaps we should set “actolutions” instead,” from a little blog that I like to follow called Advanced Riskology. Thanks to my friend Carrie, who founded the “i made it markets,” for sharing it with me.

One of my new favorite songs comes from local rapper Bamboo. Here is a great one called “You already know the way to Brahma’s House.”

Let’s wrap-up this 2012 with a salute to 2011. Thanks to everyone for all of your love and support. The Hive would not be a groovy yoga joint without you, so Namaste, yinz!
