Namaste, yinz! Yoga Hive\'s heated vinyasa in Pittsburgh has a focus on connecting people through the practice of yoga. We believe that yoga makes people happier and healthier; which means that there are fewer people wearing their grumpy pants around and more people who are tuned-in to themselves and the greater community. Choosing to stay fit and live conscientiously isn’t always an easy path, but once you give us a try, we hope to make your path a little more inviting and inspiring.
Rather than an attitude, our staff has adopted an “OM”itude. We are open, friendly and ready to help you. One om at a time, we will reconnect with ourselves, our neighbors and maybe even meet a few new friends along the way. Yoga Hive in Pittsburgh offers regularly scheduled heated (84 degrees) power vinaysa, Kundalini + fabulous workshops.
Our Style
The Yoga Hive’s primary style is influenced by Baron Baptiste’s Power Yoga Institute’s curriculum and peppered with the individual styles of each instructor. Our instructors continue learning and growing with world-renowned teachers such as Bryan Kest, Seane Corn, Tiffany Cruikshank, Doug Keller, Chrissy Carter, Natasha Rizopoulos, Kathryn Budig, Gregor Singleton & Claire Este McDonald among others.
Power vinyasa in our definition does not mean “hard.” It does not mean that you need to be an expert yoga or want to get your a** kicked in class. We take the term power yoga to mean building strength and flexibility with grace and ease. You do not have to be “in shape” or “flexible” to attend class. We challenge you to see your infinite possibility on your mat.
We heat the Yoga Hive to 85 degrees when needed. You will get a little sweaty so bring a hand towel or buy one of the towels we keep in stock. Also recommended are headbands, water and electrolytes (also available at the studio).
